Clear cell adenocarcinoma is very rare in cervix. One group of younger patients with clear cell adeno were exposed in utero to DES when their mothers were pregant with them. DES use was in the 50's in US and patients usually develop clear cell adeno in their 20 or 30 years old of age. Apparently this group of patients have died out, it is an aggressive tumor. If you see clear cell adeno now, it would be sporadic cases. I have never seen one yet. One time i though i had seen one case, but it turned out to be metastasis from clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
